What was going on in backend of classic wow gold Blizzard servers was not known and developers had to guessthey simply place placeholder values in, which never got documented or executed, game changed and until it had been too late. And our memory generally tends to be not perfect , particularly. Not to mention outside influences like servers, which likely won't be accurate never were. Though release of Classic will give them there, because it will be fresh opportunity to sniff out more packets, do more datamining,. Nonetheless, it is funny behind this facade players see and love, there's surprising number of things happening they never watch hiding under. As I always said, it will absolutely be fun to observer people understanding how much they recall incorrectly.
I have only ever seen 1 forum topic about this so it appears like nobody remembers, or perhaps me and my buddies are the only ones who care. But there is far too much immunity for spells against players in pvp on personal servers, it is nearly the same as participant vs mob resistance. My buddy and I'd constantly raid Astranar on our own when we had been leveling up our first personalities, and a few of our favourite memories was the first time we killed a? Rogue, he played a warlock and dread was a massive part of that. But on personal servers, as a spell caster at pvp it's almost moot fighting anyone 3 degrees greater as like 50% of your charms do not hit or more. Which constantly bugged me as someone who loves pvp and spell casters. Seemed useless when leveling private servers for me to bother.
I recall pvp videos of a 50 mage searching down 60 warriors in gorge. Not only that but in one of Vurtne's pvp movie's he is about his shaman alt fighting 60 fully geared mages and constantly getting the interrupts. Enough to make a part of his movie saying"look how easy shaman vs mage is" that just doesn't appear likely on private servers. Hopefully somebody else recalls this.It is going to be interesting to see at what point people draw the line for making modifications (if any) to servers that are classic. Sure, everything mentioned in this movie is how WoW Classic was meant to be played back in the day and needs to be kept that way. However, some things for example, like the availability/support for high public servers (much higher than back in the day) and therefore changes to world respawns seems like it might be a problem in gold in wow classic the future, especially with the limited number of available servers in launch.
