Available in adult and kids sizes, this retro shoe bears some resemblance to the original "Royal" colorway of the 1985 Air Jordan 1, but it's certainly a style of its own. Smooth "black" synthetic leather sets the stage for a rich dark blue hue that covers most of the overlays around the forefoot, midfoot and heel. The "Wings" logo on the lateral ankle flap reverts to the darker of the two colors, while the "NIKE AIR" branding on the tongue retains its "Dark Marina Blue" hue. Finally, the basketball-specific sole unit adds a pop of "white" to the dark-dominated color scheme, matching the additional laces that come with the shoe.

On the other hand, Nike's line of voodoo doll accessories seems to do just that, and the Air Max Pre-Day is the latest statement in the line. This recently released sneaker features two pairs of Nike Blazer Mid uppers inspired by patchwork. The seemingly random arrangement of fabrics and patterns that cover the entire shoe from the toe to the spine is a nod to Air Max's signature detailing, a detachable voodoo doll with unfinished stitching and mixed Colors and prints. Two buttons on the side collar allow the wearer to customize the accessory, while "Love" embroidery on the heel hints at the doll's purpose.

With royal and navy hues already ruled out, Nike opted for a lighter shade reminiscent of the "dark powder blue" hue on the original Air Jordan 1 colorway inspired by the UNC Tar Heels. You're probably already familiar with Dunk High colorblocking; blue appears on the leather overlays, laces, inner lining and rubber outsole, while clean white leather appears on the toe cap, midplate, ankle, midsole and nylon tongue . Not that it needs to be reiterated, but when these Dunks arrive later this year, they'll be a hit item.
