There's a lot happening at the backend for OSRS which will improve attributes without altering the fundamental feel of RuneScape gold, but it is slow progress. OSRS does not have any full time Engine development roster, they need to borrow time from RS3's developers and just so much time can enter new features rather than maintenance functions. RS in general will be mitigated by the fact that there is probably more Presidents than people who understand the fundamentals of the engine.
A few matches are disabled (Battle for Meridell, Keyquest, Habitarium) and Hannah and the Pirate Caves is about impossible to play modern browsers, but everything else remains accessible
The whole old team has abandoned, and due to runescape being a wreck of PHP code built on amateur development as well as heaps amd heaps of flash material, it is a real pain to do any sort of development work. You will find a handful of recurring events such as Altador Cup and Advent Calendar, there is reeeaaally reluctant movement towards mobile using a candy crush clone and scrabble match, and last season they had a real plot that was implemented about as poorly as may be.
Late stage mmo economy is hitting runescape hard. Anything that doesn't have a gameplay/display value is worth nothing, meaning toys along with most food and whatever labeller as a"present" item will basically never be rewarding to restock. Even bottled faeries are dirt cheap, frequently under 100 now. However, the battledome currently gives prizes for competing against single runescape participant objectives, such as codestones, faeries, and particular opponents give nerkmids that contributes to paintbrushes. This alongside more powerful weapons being handed out like GMC in events means there are upgrade paths through cheap OSRS gold Hidden Tower, though stat coaching is as dull as and battledome is super reachable.
