Path of Exile Mobile was declared by Grinding Gear Games at ExileCon week. Trevor Gramon, who the studio funnily calls for the PoE goods "Mobile Fall Guy", made it clear in the announcement trailer that they want to bring Path of Exile to mobile with absolutely no compromise. The trailer also displays a concise gameplay presentation that gives us an idea of things to come, and you can view it below.
The intro by Grinding Gear Games co-founder Jonathan Rogers indicates that Path of Exile Mobile will be free from annoying mobile game tropes such as microtransactions, time gates, movie advertisements, notifications, and a pay-to-win arrangement, all things they bluntly refer to as"evil crap". More to the point, the game is being developed in-house by the same group which worked on the first Path of Exile match and its successor, Path of Exile 2, which was also announced last week.
Grinding Gear Games emphasises that Path of Exile Mobile is the original sport tailored for smaller gaming sessions and screens in your mind. There is absolutely no term when Path of Exile will be released for both Android and iOS platforms.
Additionally, the studio can be mum on the way the poe buy currency game will be monetised and what heart Path of Exile elements are retained/tweaked/axed because of its mobile port. Speaking to GameSpot in ExileCon in New Zealand today, founder Chris Wilson described Path of Exile 2 as a"next-generation" action RPG that may stand alongside Diablo IV--which presumably has a larger development funding.
