The readability and legibility of this watch are great. The white print is very nicely done, and it is immediately clear to me where to find what. Unlike many Casio watches I've used (and have), this online watch store shows me where to go if I want to access a certain function, e.g., compass at 6 am, chronograph at 5 am, and alarm at 7 am. Just put your finger on the sapphire glass in those spots, and the function will change on the dial. The hands will indicate the current function for a while before returning to the current time.
On the right side, you will find three pushers. To activate the T-Touch screen, press the "crown" button once. A second press activates the backlight. Now you can activate all functions on the T-Touch Expert Solar by gently pressing the crystal. Most of the functions on the crystal (Meteo, Altimeter, Chronograph, Timer, Compass, etc.) have a second function by pressing it twice. Press the center of the crystal, and you will see the display showing the date; press again to see the first time zone, press again for the 2nd time zone, and a third time for the battery level. This way, you can play with all the functions of the watch, so 20 in total! The + and - buttons are mainly used to set times/dates etc.
All functions will work immediately except for the meteo and altimeter functions; they (may) need to be calibrated, which can be easily done with the + and - pushers.
As described above, the Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar is quite large, and the rubber band it wears is also quite long, so you'll probably have to cut it to get it the right size for your wrist. The rubber strap has a nice pattern and fits tightly around the wrist. The folding buckle has two buttons that must be pressed to release it. See below.
