This game is mt nba 2k21 quite fun if you play it for fun, just dont play it and you'd be fine. I never knew that the side of the game. Its like a fighting game which comes down to reactions and reads. When I lose a match in a fighting game I feel like it was my fault and my opponent just played the round better than me. Once I lose I feel as though it was bullshit because my shots very happen to miss while their ones happen to create. 2k Is only a jumble of rng with no reason you neglected or why you succeeded. I imagine those pro circuits get lol.
Shooting is not the ideal example. And honestly shooting really isn't difficult in this game but still theres no doubt that whether your whites go in or not can easily change the consequence of a park game. I think that the luck/randomness comes in based on animations. Like you could have decent position on protection but a man receives a contact dunk animation and you can't really do anything about it because he got that animation to go right over you. You're able to play the passing lanes absolutely but for some reason that your player only tips it rather than catching it, and when it gets tipped possibly it falls in your hands or perhaps the offense just makes it back. There is a good deal of randomness still.
Departure lanes and animations are a much better example. Very often in 2k I make the correct play, good defensive position, beat a man on cheap nba 2k21 mt a pump fake or with a dribble move and I sense more often then not I am punished rather than rewarded. I shouldn't get blocked although I don't expect on 100% of my pump fake. Especially compared to the way the"meta" rewards non basketball plays like dribbling in circles at the 3 point line and chucking a 45 footer that sinks no problem.
