I've discussed how 2012 is the 40th anniversary of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak replica watch. In addition to the raised blocks on the dial, there are small concentric circles all over the dial for what is essentially texture on top of the texture. The result is subtle but very attractive.

The new dials are very impressive overall, and I think even purists who are skeptical will appreciate the new one. Also new is an improved closure for the bracelet. This is something people have argued for a while that the Royal Oak was needed. The upgrade is a lot of fun. It's simple, but the detailing is pretty nice. Functionally speaking, the Royal Oak now comes with a push-button locking clasp and looks very nice when closed.
In addition to the Selfwinding 41mm, there is a new Royal Oak Chronograph model. Inside that Swiss replica watch is an Audemars Piguet caliber 2385 automatic chronograph movement that looks beautiful in the larger case. Unlike the Selfwinding, the chronograph has no caseback. Both models are available in 18k rose gold and steel for 2012. There are also many color options for the dial. Available for both series are silver-white dials, black dials, and dark blue dials. People today have many size options when it comes to the Royal Oak Offshore. For 2012 alone, Audemars Piguet is releasing replica watches versions of the Royal Oak in 37mm 39mm and 41mm wide versions. Many fans will go for the limited models and redo the classic Jumbo.
