PetroEnvironment 2019 was opened by H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the event was a resounding success hosting 80 technical session speakers, 35 Poster presentations, 40 Exhibition stands, over 1400 symposium and exhibition visitors from 28 countries.

Held Under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Governor of the Eastern Province, under the theme Innovative Technologies for Environmental Sustainability, the PetroEnvironment symposium offered opportunity for the global oil and gas, petrochemical and environment community to come together and focus on the future.

Under the auspices of ETMA (Environmental Technology Management Association), led by Principal Sponsor Saudi Aramco, PetroEnvironment 2019 is a unique 3-day gathering of environmental practitioners, policy makers, scientists end users, technicians and engineers offered an unrivalled combination of technical and commercial content.

Hosted by the Environmental Technology and Management Association (ETMA), PetroEnvironment is the biennial gathering uniting all stakeholders of the oil and gas and petrochemicals sectors.

The Environmental Technology and Management Association (ETMA) is the Saudi Arabian Section of the Air and Waste Management Association (SAS – AWMA). ETMA became the first international section of the association in 1993 and currently has approximately 300 members. The goals of AWMA are to promote technology exchange, professional development, networking opportunities, public education and outreach events.

ETMA board of directors is composed of seasoned environmental practitioners from Saudi Aramco, Prince Mohammed University, King Fahd University for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University of Dammam.

Through activities such as workshops, seminars, functions, ETMA brings together industry, government, academia and other stakeholders together share knowledge on crucial environmental topics and to continue to strive for excellence for the benefit of the oil and gas industry and the wider community.
