Colonello agreed, telling Polygon that the Buy OSRS gold community has come together in recent days following Jagex's statement to try and find a way to preserve the cultural touchstone. "In the moment I think the community is really larger than it has been in years as it has everyone's last chance to play it," Colonello explained.

Paul's seen a similar reaction to his movies and streams since he began in 2016; a walloping degree of support from folks who stuck or perhaps abandoned RuneScape Classic, but lately revived their love for the game. The support, which Paul said has just grown sine he started streaming, is a part of the reason he does not need to give up on speaking about RuneScape Classic just yet.

"Everyone is really supportive and loves watching my videos. I get all kinds of support, from individuals that played back in the day like me, to buy osrs accounts people that are just starting the game this year."

The developer mentioned in its blog that"it has been amazing to see such devotion amongst those of you who've kept playing RuneScape Classic over the past couple of years, some of you have managed to achieve max total." Still, the programmer called out maintaining the servers and protecting the community as"not all fun and games," eventually helping cement the decision to shut down.
