They need a new engine for MLB The Show 19. Probably will not happen until Next Gen consoles. From videos of MLB 19 I have seen... the graphics are looking dated now. Also while they're covering the shield, it is still cartoon performs laggy/clunky and based. They need to reconstruct MLB The Show 19s engine thus playing defense is FLUID and easy. I will probably pick up MLB 19 when it goes on sale though. Not paying full price anymore such as MLB Madden, the Hoops matches or NHL. One of the actual joys in a baseball game is playing defense... and when it is not real fluid and time and is very laggy/animation based hanging/herky jerky gameplay it only ruins the experience. Hope they can clean it up... but it seems every year it is the exact same hanging animation llaggy garbage on protection because it is Stubs mlb the show 19engine that needs fixing from the bottom up. Next Gen hopefully fixes it.
