Agreed. I recently got back into the match and it's essentially a non problem. I love rs3. Same came back after rebuilding my accounts on OSRS gold and I am having a great time playing. So much new stuff and everything is really convenient today.

Jagex don't discharge any helpful statistics on this, so it's difficult to say. There certainly still are bots (always have been, always will be), but the number of bots is significantly lower than it's been previously, also if you take into account the lower player count.

Where bots were rather widespread on many distinct kinds of resources previously, they're more concentrated around a smaller number of botted resources nowadays. So you won't see bots around every yew tree.

So that is actually better for someone who has not ever played Runescape? RS3 or OSRS?However, the combat is waay more complex (and imo, enjoyable ). Osrs is much more about the journey.

However, in the long run they are nearly very different games. I'd recommend giving a fantastic amount of time to both (such as 20 hours to each if you can) and seeing which you enjoy more. Or just play on and off.

Remember though Buy Rs gold really shines in end game boss material (And quests, but those are a 1 time done item ), but the combat is complicated and a little difficult to grasp.

I'm close to my 15 year cape and I only use heritage battle. But I do not boss, so it does not matter that much.
