Cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programmes over the internet instead of personal computer's hard drive. You need to access your data or program over the internet. With the use of computers, automation and cloud technology, factories are becoming increasingly efficient and smart. The progress and new inventions in the field of cloud computing has made small and big businesses and organisations adopt to this new technologies which can be beneficial to their business in the long run.

Cloud-based infrastructure of service ( l a a s ) and platform as a service ( PAAS ) have obtained tremendous success in the current trend in cloud computing.

Cloud computing providers are Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web services, Google cloud, IBM cloud and Oracle cloud infrastructure. They maintain and control the information and data stored in physical or virtual servers and you can access your stored information on the cloud via internet connection.

There are three main services models of cloud computing 1) infrastructure as a service ( l a a s ) . 2 ) platform as service ( p a a s ) and 3 )software as a service ( s a a s ) .The next wave of intelligent technologies that build on the cloud is emerging including the internet of thing ( I O T ), machine Learning and Artificial intelligence. The user can check their email on any computer and even store files using services such as dropbox and Google Drive.

The original industrial revolution that occurred around the 18th century completely changed the world by connecting energy of water and steam to power machines that helped in producing goods more swiftly. The second industrial revolution began with the rise of mass production lines. The third industrial revolution came into motion with the beginning of information technology. Now fourth industrial revolution has arrived with the development of Internet of things ( I O T ) , Automation and Artificial intelligence.

Industrial plant operators were previously reluctant to move their data to the cloud but technology and advantages of cloud computing has forced them to aggregate and integrate data from various sections in order to improve the monitoring of the processes thereby ensuring a competitive edge over other businesses who have not adopted to new technologies.

The research in web technology has progressed so fast in the last few years that the industry would need educated and trained professionals who are technology savvy and are involved working with web technology. With their expertise and knowledge in social media and communication tools, these professionals can be a great asset to any technology enabled organisation. These professionals can then teach the workforce and train members Of the company and share knowledge of cloud computing and thus old staff in the company can also be trained this way.

With the emergence of artificial intelligence related technologies many more and more companies are adopting to this technology. Because of automation of business, powered by artificial intelligence by the use of self learning algorithms, these developments in a way are fuelling cloud technology trends. The cloud computing technology can scale up the large volumes of big data that are generated by the artificial intelligence. So with the progress in artificial intelligence technologies cloud computing technology will also flourish.

Cloud computing services like Amazon Web service ( A W S ) ,Google cloud and Microsoft Azure serve as hybrid cloud computing that integrates local server with private and public cloud services and thus has become a latest trend so more and more companies are deploying their workload across multiple l a a s platforms. Kubernetes a platform for creating a cloud computing application 'container' provides ease of managing and even moving application code is projected as most popular and best future technology trend in cloud computing.

Quantum computing is the computing of multiple variables at the same time that can solve problems quickly and accurately. Due to the modernisation of computers hardware’s and configurations that allows data to be processed faster than ever, quantum computing has been the focus of leading l a a s providers and is in trend today. Quantum computing also helps reduce energy consumption.

Server less computing was introduced by Google cloud. Where the organisation does not have to worry about investing in infrastructure but then also can deploy their applications by adopting to the 'pay as you use' model. This server less computing gives flexibility and scalability to the organisations. This has made the work of application developers easier as they have now not to worry about configuring and managing servers. Cloud computing helps bankers and financial institutions in saving their capital expenditure in establishing IT infrastructure and meeting several IT needs. A major chunk of capital expenditure is transformed into comparatively nominal operating expenditure with the application of cloud.

Due to large volumes of data stored in the clouds there is latency time that can affect the performance of production process. To solve this the use of fog computing which has the capacity to process data and control functions based on large volume of data received by internet of things ( IOT ). The nodes that perform search processing are usually located in the same local network as the I O T device and usually they have storage and computing capacity. Thus fog computing compared to cloud computing decreases instability, avoids congestion and improve quality of services.
